Spirit Bear

Over the holidays I came across a post from a gentleman, the subject line was “Christmas Alone.” He was having a very difficult time according to his post, everything that you could imagine to be going wrong, he was going through it, health, marriage, job, vehicle, etc. He seemed to be reaching out on the web just looking for someone to care.

This was our correspondence:

Thanks for sharing your story…we should all take some time to stop and reflect on our lives and not just at the holidays.

Most of us have faced hard times at some point in our journey and it is not fair for any of us to judge the depth of another’s experiences or compare to another’s. We all are uniquely different from the point of conception as we each have experienced our journey differently and no 2 journeys are the same…maybe similar, but not the same.

Know that you are never alone…the stars are always with you, even when you can’t see them.

Also there is a lonely Teddy Bear sitting on a shelf in a store somewhere that needs you…you will know the one when you see it. Rescue it…it will always be forever true and will never leave you alone as long as you always keep it near.

Merry Christmas! May you always be blessed with the light of hope in your heart and soul.

Perhaps it’s more about perception than perspective.

Destiny of Souls
As I gaze upon the night sky
I ponder
Is it really stars that light the heavens
I wonder
Or could it be the gathering of souls
I ponder
Awaiting their turn for destiny
I wonder
As I watch a shooting star cross the night sky
I ponder
Is that one’s journey over or has it just begun
I wonder

Perhaps you are alone or know someone that is…everyday of the year is a perfect time to reach out to someone, not just on holidays. Perhaps you may want to find your special bear or send a bear anonymously with a special note that is going through a rough time. I call these Spirit Bears to lift ones spirit. Mine I call Nona Bear in loving memory of my adoptive mom, in my heart and soul she is my true mom, at the age of 17 she gave me my first teddy bear. I love you mom !
